On Saturday, November 21, Privateer Holdings sponsored a 5K Group Run at the 2015 International Drug Policy Reform Conference in Arlington, Virginia.
This free and open event was the first-ever 5K run held at the conference. Each participant received a free “Running to End Cannabis Prohibition” t-shirt, and for every person who finished, Privateer donated $100 to the 2017 Reform Conference Scholarship Fund. In total, $5000 was raised.
These donations will help activists from around the country and around the world attend the next International Drug Policy Reform Conference, enabling them to become more effective and knowledgeable advocates for the end of prohibition. Nearly half of conference attendees rely on some form of assistance to help them attend the conference. Learn more about the scholarship fund here.
This year’s conference ran from November 18 to 21. It was a pleasure to work with the International Drug Policy Reform Conference and the Drug Policy Alliance to support this important cause. Thank you to all of our attendees! We're grateful you joined us in our efforts to #RunToFund the end of cannabis prohibition.
