Director of Clinical Research
Catherine is Director of Clinical Research for Privateer Holdings. In this role, she is responsible for creating and managing clinical research partnerships for Privateer Holdings with top universities and hospitals worldwide to advance the scientific understanding of the therapeutic value of cannabinoids.
Director of Research Investment for The Epilepsy Foundation. Prior to joining Privateer Holdings, Dr. Jacobson served as Director of Research Investment for The Epilepsy Foundation where she led a venture philanthropic fund addressing the lack of adequate drugs and devices to treat pediatric epilepsy.
Before that, she was a post-doctoral fellow at the University of California San Francisco’s Pediatric Epilepsy Center where she established the Expanded Access Investigational New Drug Application (IND) for GW Pharma’s Epidiolex program for the treatment of children with severe medically refractory epilepsy. Previously, Catherine also served as a post-doctoral fellow at Stanford University, where she conducted the first published account of the parental use of cannabis to treat severe pediatric epilepsy.
