In Search of Greener Pastures, Techies Land in the Growing Marijuana Field

Leafly, a marijuana reviews site often hailed as the Yelp of weed, has its roots in tech as well. Before it was acquired by Privateer Holdings and relocated to Seattle, the company was founded in Orange County by three Kelly Blue Book engineers--Scott Vickers, Brian Wansonlich, and Cy Scott. As Privateer looked to build out its marketing teams, the firm sought leaders from the tech world with experience managing large brands.
