Privateer Holdings CEO Brendan Kennedy will deliver a keynote address at the International Cannabis Business Conference on Friday, October 14. The two-day conference is scheduled to take place October 13-14 and will bring together activists, entrepreneurs, journalists, and other industry leaders.
It's an especially interesting time to be thinking about the future of cannabis in Canada. In August, the Canadian government released new medical cannabis regulations that affect the ways in which patients can access treatment. These new Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR) are replacing the old Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations, which were enacted in 2013. With the federal government set to legalize adult recreational cannabis consumption next year, the ICBC will surely allow for a compelling and multifaceted consideration of what these changes mean for the cannabis industry in Canada and beyond.
Speakers from Leafly and Tilray will also be presenting at the conference. They include:
- Paul Campbell, President, Leafly
- Philippe Lucas, Vice President of Patient Advocacy, Tilray
- Jennifer Hanser, Vice President of Global Business Development, Tilray
